    Kaden quan sát khi Vis ăn thử. Có vẻ thích, còn mỉm cười, nhưng biểu hiện rất ít. Anh tự hỏi sao mình có cảm giác như Vis đang kìm cảm xúc của mình lại vậy nhỉ, lúc nào cũng ít - rất ít.

    - Của cậu gọi nên cậu thử trước đi.

    Anh nhìn miếng xúc xích trên nĩa. Xác ướp bị cắt đôi, cũng không tệ...

    - Nhưng lúc nãy bánh là Vis gọi mà tôi cũng được ăn trước. Tôi thấy mình được chiều thì phải. - anh nhăn mặt một cái khi cầm lấy nĩa và quẹt vào sốt cà, đưa lên cắn. Không mất nhiều thời gian để giải quyết xong, anh gật gù:

    - Cũng ngon, sốt cà làm vừa ăn. Giờ tới bạn thử.

    Nói rồi găm miếng còn lại đưa qua cho Vis. Cười.

    Chị Katherine nói chơi trước, Thu Lan lần chần rồi cũng chịu. Cô nhìn sang Allan, như muốn tìm một ánh mắt động viên, rồi bước lên.

    Không tự tin một tí nào. Cô thấy run. Dáng đứng ra sao? Cô lúng túng. Rồi Allan có thể đang nhìn. Bạn ấy đang nhìn cô, từ trên xuống dưới. Dù là để kiểm tra tư thế. Lúc nãy hướng dẫn ở khoảng cách gần, nhưng giờ... xa hơn, có thể nhìn thấy rõ tổng thể hơn.

    Và Thu Lan thì chưa bao giờ tự tin với cái thân hình mập mập của mình, nước da không thể trắng như những người Âu, mũi...

    Càng nghĩ càng thấy tệ.

    Có bạn nào đó đứng bên cạnh nói gì đó. Cô hiểu là mình đang được cổ vũ. Lấy hết tinh thần lắp tên, giương cung.

    Cô cảm thấy đỡ hơn khi bước xuống, dù vẫn lúng túng. Liếc qua Allan rồi mỉm cười với chị Katherine:

    - Em bắn tệ quá. Chị lên đi, em mua sẵn vé cho chị rồi ạ.

    Cô không định bắn nữa. Bắn tệ quá thấy có lỗi lắm.

    Tự nhiên anh có một cảm giác kỳ lạ là hôm nay mình hướng dẫn ai thì người đó chơi không được tốt hay sao đó. Hiema với Aix cũng vậy. Giờ là Thu Lan. Khi bạn này bước xuống, anh nhìn vẻ động viên:

    - Không sao đâu, cũng khó mà. - rồi quay qua chị Katherine - chúc chị may mắn.
